My love story with Hossegor

Hossegor: What is it with this ocean side town that I want to keep going back to? Why do I feel yoga holidays there are special and this is where I need to hold mine? This is a question I have asked myself lately… because Hossegor is a very pretty town, but there are plenty more pretty towns by the ocean…

So probably partly because I have some beautiful memories : spending a month there with John while pregnant with Elliot; then every holiday with the children, watching them play in the sand, scream in the waves whilst holding my hand, so trusting in my strength against the Ocean when deep inside I was petrified… And going back further, spending a week with some friends “revising” for the final exams. Even further back, holding a small job, desperately trying to sell flats and houses and being so bored during the day, watching on a tiny tv we had in the showroom flat “the Monty Python flying circus” and discovering quite mesmerised British humour and the art of mastering the absurd. And then at night partying as you do when you are 18 and on your own in a flat overlooking the ocean… So yes many happy memories there, memories of a time when life was simpler, more free, a time when highs were very high and lows… very low. A time of thinking the world was our oyster.

All in all holidays with rollercoasters of emotions, when senses were heightened and life felt like it was full of promises and… fun. And every time I go back there, this is how I feel, alert, alive: the light is gorgeous, the waves are magnificent, the ocean is majestic and strong while the lake brings you serenity. The « energy » of the place is invigorating. Yes many happy memories but also there is something special, something that entices you to come back so you feel… alive and kicking!! Between Hossegor and me, it is a ❤️ story, one of those that you can partly explain, but not fully. So if you want to experiment what I am talking about and judge by yourself, 😉, go on my website or send me message! #yogaholidays #yogahossegor #yogainfrance #profdeyoga #yogateacherlondon #yogateacher
